It's been a difficult year for compressor and pump maker Gardner Denver.  Slowing economies in Europe, where the firm makes a third of its sales, and falling production of natural gas, have significantly lowered demand for its compressors and pumps, which are used in manufacturing, as well as in drilling for natural gas and oil.
